　　《聖戰群英傳3：復興》是一款英雄奇幻戰略RPG，玩家扮演某個種族的王者，為了讓他們信仰的神統治全世界，他們已經征戰了無數個歲月。本作的故事背景將會十分獨特，並且採用充滿戲劇性的方式展開。本作採用了遊戲製作室自己開發的遊戲引擎，支持當今所有最新的3D技術，最初會有三個種族可以操作：帝國、死亡軍團和高貴的精靈，每個種族都有獨特的單位類型和城市風格。　　現在，在令人震撼的3D效果下，戰場系統成為新聖戰群英傳的最重要更新。單位現在在戰場上可以隨意移動。一個進步了的魔法系統可以為領導者單位提供更多的動作選擇。新系統保持簡單的風格來確保更快更震撼的動作和更容易解決衝突，同時增加了一層新的可能性使得每個玩家的的決定都有意義…　　領導者是值得信賴的軍隊指揮者。他們是從4個最基本的分類來的：擅長魔法的魔法師，使用近戰武器和領導第一線作戰的戰士，使用遠程攻擊和移動飛快的偵察員以及使用特殊技能來混亂敵人軍隊和最終滲透並秘密偵察敵人位置，狡詐地在戰場上使用短刀的盜賊。
